HER STORY
Originally from Canada, award-winning designer Cheri Milaney has presented her collections on international catwalks in Italy, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, and China, before eventually making Edinburgh — her mother’s city — her home.
Before settling in Scotland, Cheri lived in Florence, Italy, where she studied classical tempera and oil painting techniques inspired by the Renaissance masters, including Caravaggio. She also studied fashion merchandising and design production, and trained under a French couturier. This artistic foundation continues to shape the signature prints, graceful draping, femininity, and old-world romance woven throughout her collections today.
Winner of the Designers Guild Award and the Matinee Fashion Award, Cheri Milaney served as Creative Director of her own Italian fashion company in Canada, where she designed collections carried in boutiques and department stores across North America.
Known for designs that celebrate real women, Cheri Milaney creates elegant collections that blend couture influence with timeless femininity, combining luxurious fabrics, painterly prints, and a distinct sense of European refinement.
